One of ABYC’s primary roles is to develop voluntary global safety standards for the industry, which are used by manufacturers, boatyards, and other stakeholders to ensure that boats are built and maintained to the highest standards of safety and reliability. In addition to its work on safety standards, ABYC is also committed to providing technical education, training, certification, and professional development for individuals working in the boating industry.
